Tina Needs

I then went on to become a SENCo working in a variety of different settings until I partially retired in 2022.

I became an Assistant Headteacher with a focus on SEN and vunerable students in 2002 and was also the lead designated safeguarding lead for the school. I have managed teams of up to 30 members of staff. I have been involved with all aspects of supporting young people with SEN, including assessing for EHCPs and access arrangements. This has also involved working with a wide range of extrernal agencies and parents and carers.

I have been involved with many different organisations as a volunteer, including three PTAs, two governing bodies and also with Lions Club International, where I was fortunate to be the local president for several years.

I am really excited about this new opportunity to be involved with improving the outcomes for young people, having always had high aspirations for the students that I have had the privilege to work with.
