Live Virtual Training

What is live virtual training?

Our live virtual training is designed to replicate the benefits of in-person training but from the comfort and safety of your home.

Virtual training is live and interactive. Expect what you would from in-person training; up to date information, videos, activities, Q&A time and material you can take away to support with putting your new knowledge into action.

Live virtual training is delivered using the Zoom video conferencing tool. You are not required to have your own Zoom account but you will require internet access. The technology is easy to use and a host is available on each session to support with any technical hitches you might have.

Who is live virtual training for?

Live virtual training is ideally suited to those who prefer to interact with a trainer and other people as part of their learning experience. Our live virtual training offers content suited to both UK and international audiences and focuses on up-to-date information and practical strategies.

Live virtual training is suitable for anyone interested in developing their knowledge of dyslexia, dyscalculia and neurodiversity, including individuals with dyslexia, parents, carers, teaching assistants, teachers, employers and specialist practitioners.

Live virtual training can be taken as stand-alone short courses or built up from modules leading to accredited level 2, 3 or 4 OCN qualifications [link to accredited training info].

We run live half and full day virtual training courses on specific topics. We also provide a rolling programme of free live information webinars to members of the public to raise awareness about supporting individuals with specific learning difficulties.

What are the benefits of live virtual training?

• Access to a professional trainer and the opportunity to ask questions in real time.

• Reduced travel and costs. Virtual online learning means less travel and less time off work for travelling, thereby reducing your costs and childcare needs.

Feedback from one of our live virtual attendees ...

“The session was very informative, and I will be able to put a lot of what I have learnt into the classroom. The technical support in the session was fantastic and any issues I had were quickly and successfully attended too. The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and answered questions extremely well. The session had a good pace to it and was as good as I think you could get without being an in-person session.”

Please note:

You will require an internet connection and access to a computer, laptop or tablet. Training can be accessed using a smartphone, however this is not advised due to limitations with screen size.
