Samantha Maylor-Wrout

Samantha is an Oxford University trained teacher (PGCE) and fully qualified solicitor (LLB), with a Level 5 and 7 Qualification in dyslexia and a Level 5 qualification in dyscalculia. Samantha holds APC and AMBDA. With a background in primary teaching and as an experienced SENCo, Samantha came to the British Dyslexia Association as a Level 5 tutor in 2020. Samantha has worked in a range of settings including state, private and Waldorf Steiner schools. Samantha became course leader of the Accredited Level 5 - Certificate in Dyslexia; Literacy, Support and Intervention in March 2023. She is also a private specialist teacher and assessor and is passionate about supporting learners to fulfil their full potential, supporting learners through specialist multi-sensory teaching.

Samantha is married with 2 daughters, in her spare time she enjoys walking, going to the theatre and spending time with her rescue greyhound Coco!
